Portfolio Accountant – Boston, MA

The Portfolio Accountant will help conduct detailed analysis and report for a portfolio and other leasing vehicles by understanding the Firm’s portfolio objectives, leasing processes, the industry landscape, market events and trends.

This position requires the use and understanding of analytical tools and software to produce performance attribution analyses using multi-factor models. Will work closely with the Accounting Manager and portfolio leadership.

– Assist with monthly financial forecasts and annual budget, enhancing support of the business activities and market factors with financial forecasts
– Prepare monthly accounting reports outlining operational results and corresponding cash flow activities, and address investor inquiries
– Prepare and support economic evaluations of lease opportunities in coordination with marketing, involving preparation of supporting materials and as required managing approval process
– Contribute to profitability analysis, including enhancing analysis of economic and accounting returns within the portfolio (at asset or investment level), and apply this to support lease holder  transaction and investment decisions
– Contribute to initiatives and projects as required, including development and automation of business management reports

Requirements:
– In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial statements, financial and cash flow analysis, metrics, and reporting
– Familiarity debt financing and the associated level of reporting
– Proficient set of expertise with Excel and data analysis, MS Word and PowerPoint
– Desire to work in a fast-paced global organization that is subject to frequent change
– Must be self-motivated and deadline drive with an initiative to manage multiple projects thru completion
– Willing to work in a team environment that promotes inclusiveness and communication among team members
– Ability to clearly communicate and advocate with a variety of internal & external team members
– Bring new ideas to the team, including a process and automation thought processes

Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Finance or similar field
– 3+ years of relevant experience in equity portfolio analysis
– Salary will be commensurate with experience
