Job Overview:

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineering Project Engineer to join a leading provider of Civil Engineering, Entitlement, and Survey services based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Collaborate with a team to support the design and permitting processes for various phases and types of land development projects, including commercial, residential, multi-family, mixed-use, industrial, and medical sectors.
  • Prepare plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and engage in all facets of project design.
  • Interface with regulatory entities to ensure compliance with local, county, and state regulations.
  • Procure necessary project permits and approvals to facilitate project progression and completion.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather relevant data for project planning and design.
  • Assist in the development of preliminary and final site plans, grading plans, utility plans, and drainage plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Perform calculations and analysis related to earthwork, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Review and interpret zoning codes, land use regulations, and other governing documents to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications to regulatory agencies and coordinate the permit approval process.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Provide support during construction activities, including responding to requests for information (RFIs) and reviewing submittals.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with project team members and clients to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT registration or ability to obtain within 1 year on a PE professional track.
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Experience in land development design, encompassing grading and drainage, water, sewer, and paving plans
  • Ability to function effectively within a team or autonomously
  • Strong organizational understanding and attention to detail
  • Superlative verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and concise conveyance of engineering information
