Corporate Counsel

Overview: This opportunity reports to the General Counsel where you will be responsible for providing general corporate legal support to a publically traded medical device company just north of Boston. A qualified candidate will assist with all legal and compliance matters and interface with all departments within the organization, providing legal support for all aspects of corporate activities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial contracts
• Corporate compliance (e.g., data privacy, anti-bribery/FCPA, fraud and abuse, healthcare transparency laws)
• Legal support of Marketing, global subsidiary support, litigation management and employment
• Corporate governance
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Securities, financing and other general corporate matters
• Management legal guidance in various departments, identifying risks and offering advice and alternatives to mitigate risk

Qualifications

• A Juris doctorate required; must be licensed to practice in US or have Massachusetts in-house counsel designation.
• Ideally 5+ years’ experience in general corporate representation. In-house and/or large law firm experience preferred.
• Medical industry experience is not required, however life science experience is preferred.
• General commercial corporate experience is required, and data privacy experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel required.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally when needed (limited but will be required in some circumstances)

This is an on-site role working from the corporate office 5 days a week.
