Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer for a brand new full time role for our Boston based client. This role is part of the Security Team and will assist in configuring applications and systems based on best security practices.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
• Solid understanding of Windows environment
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
• A working understanding of code and script: Bash, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, JavaScript
• Good understanding of version control systems i.e. git in an environment like i.e. GitLab.
• Use Git for code/documentation management
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Chef, Puppet, Ansible or an equivalent
• Experience working under cloud technologies. AWS is a plus
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
• Implement and Manage CI and CD tools
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes
• Improve infrastructure development and application development
• Prior knowledge of maintenance of any of: Tomcat, JBoss, Apache Solr, Apache, Moodle, OTRS, ColdFusion, ArcGIS, GitLab etc. a plus
• Experience with SQL technologies i.e MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Some knowledge of NoSQL experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker deployments
• Ability to pick up new technologies as needed
• Ability to work independently within a smaller group setting
