Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is currently seeking a full time DevOps/Release Engineer for a Boston-area client. The ideal candidate will have experience as a release engineer and have strong understanding of how data flows.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining source control branches and performing integrations with merge conflicts
• Facilitating and championing the quick resolution of problems found during the daily hours and deployment off hour efforts
• Understand business logic and create documentation of development requirements for business requirements as well as communicate with stake holders of projects
• Creating and maintaining client and technical documentation for projects
• Work with in-office and offshore development teams
• Investigating tools and processes and integrating them so that they can improve the reliability, stability and efficiency with which we release our services
• Working closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to meet our feature requirements
• Maintaining quality control of code being pushed to production to coincide with any standard practices that are in place
• Ensure compliance with security best practices for new feature development through code reviews and testing
• Active engagement in following up on projects and tasks until completion in a timely manner
• Flexible work hours; scheduled off hour deployment hours required 8- 12 on specific days

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience with VB/C# and .NET with SQL in a professional environment
• Strong programming skills. You’re expected to be able to read and understand code as well as develop necessary tools
• Strong knowledge of source control management and tools such as TFS
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working within established code and process frameworks
• Proactive and self-motivated – willing to improve on existing processes to allow for faster iterations
• Strong track record of learning new tools and technologies

Desired Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Git
• Working experience with AWS and/or MySQL
• Experience with technologies such as AngularJS, Node or ReactJS
• Strong knowledge of a Visual Studio environment
• Experience with online services and a passion for delivering a quality experience to customers and internal users
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where iterative changes may need to go out in rapid succession
• High energy, self–starting team player who achieves goals and continuous improvement
