Job Overview:


Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is looking for a Director, Global Accounting Operations for a dynamic opportunity based in New York. This position will oversee accounting operations for both the US and United Kingdom regions, managing a team of 7-8 direct reports and 70-80 individuals across different areas. The role requires strong leadership, change management skills, and expertise in US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage 7-8 direct reports and oversee accounting operations for the US and UK office.
  • Supervise Revenue Accounting, Balance Sheet Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Commodity Accounting, Regulatory Accounting, Account reconciliations, Monthly Close, and administrative management.
  • Lead the monthly close process and ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive change and process improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop solutions with a quick turnaround, focusing on financial and process efficiency.
  • Provide expert guidance on end-to-end processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP and UK accounting standards.
  • Act as a key leader in a global utility company or BIG 4 environment, demonstrating solid knowledge and experience.
  • Strategically position oneself for potential advancement to CFO within the company.
