Job Overview:

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is looking for a Director of Global Accounting Operations to join a leading company in their Finance and Risk division. This role will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including financial close and consolidation processes, compliance, and strategic execution, and will report directly to the Vice President. The ideal candidate will lead a diverse global team, driving process efficiencies and effectiveness to ensure best-in-class processes.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide financial analyses and recommendations to support the organization’s financial objectives, while directing staff accordingly.

– Develop accounting organizational strategies and functional objectives aligned with organizational goals.

– Direct internal and external audit engagements, ensuring compliance with close requirements.

– Establish accounting operational strategies, evaluate trends, and implement system efficiencies.

– Implement appropriate controls to manage business risks and maintain fiscal integrity.

– Provide analytics to key stakeholders, execute month-end close, and prepare quarterly corporate submissions.

– Oversee day-to-day accounting operations performed by onshore and offshore teams.

– Ensure compliance with accounting principles, SOX requirements, and corporate policies.

– Support strategic transformation and change requirements across the organization.

– Drive change through technological innovations, process mapping, and performance measurement.


– Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA highly preferred.

– Qualified accountant with 10+ years of relevant experience in a business-facing role.

– Strong understanding of the SOX, US GAAP, SEC reporting, UK GAAP, and IFRS.

– Background in process improvement and previous Business Service experience preferred.

– Experience in senior stakeholder management and working with C-suite executives.

– Track record of building, leading, and delivering large, diverse, global operations and projects.

– Expertise in strategic portfolio management and process redesign.

– Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
