Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is excited to present an opportunity for a talented accountant to join our client’s team as a Manager of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting.


  • Assist the Director of External Reporting with technical accounting research and documentation on complex accounting topics, transactions, and ad hoc requests.
  • Conduct routine reconciliation of monthly activity, including accounting for equity compensation and plan reserves.
  • Prepare various monthly and ad-hoc reports accurately and promptly for review.
  • Support grants to employees and the Board of Directors, ensuring compliance with award terms, governing plans, and internal processes.
  • Execute business processes related to accounting and periodic reporting, including SEC Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and proxy filings.
  • Prepare or review supporting documentation for quarterly and annual reporting and aggregate it into a periodic electronic work paper binder.
  • Assist in the quarterly earnings release process and presentations to the Board of Directors/Audit Committee.
  • Provide support for external audits and quarterly review procedures.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in critical M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and purchase price accounting.
  • Manage quarterly and annual request lists in AuditBoard to support external reporting and other projects.
  • Ensure effective internal controls (SOX) are in place, preparing or reviewing related documentation.
  • Participate in industry associations and continuing education.
  • Lead or advise on US GAAP compliance implementation projects as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 5-10+ years of relevant SEC and technical accounting experience; 3-5 years in a public accounting firm preferred.
  • Proficiency in Active Disclosure (or similar application) is required.
  • Experience with Excel reporting tools like Spreadsheet Server (GSS) or similar.
  • M&A experience preferred.
  • Experience in a large, complex, global corporate structure 
  • Strong prioritization, time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
