Job Overview:

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is actively seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support an enterprise organization. This role is crucial for providing strategic financial guidance and insight to drive financial performance. With a focus on operating expenses and capital investments, the Senior Finance Business Partner will play a key role in managing financial risks, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring alignment between investments and business strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with the business to develop and manage annual operating expenses and capital investments.
  • Identify opportunities for value creation and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Manage financial risks and implement and maintain controls.
  • Accountable for monthly and quarterly performance results on operating expenses and capital expenditures, providing insightful commentary.
  • Partner with business leadership to develop business cases and strategic initiatives in line with business strategy and value requirements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with business leaders, finance colleagues, and other internal teams.
  • Review capital projects for internal approval, ensuring sufficient funding and assessing changes in costs and scope.
  • Lead long-term business planning for capital projects, linking activity and outcomes to financial investment levels.
  • Understand the regulatory and compliance structures and collaborate with regulatory and finance colleagues on the assessment of rate case changes and their impact.
  • Collaborate with other Finance Business Partners on training and best practices to drive efficiencies and improved outcomes.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Extensive financial, management, and business modeling experience.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven track record in managing conflicting stakeholder interests.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify key issues and recommend solutions using data, logic, and financial insight.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and impact financial performance.
  • Experience in utility service business activities and systems is advantageous.
