TITLE: Senior Finance Business Partner
The Finance Business Partner will have an important role in providing decision support to the business units by providing strategic insights, analysis, and reporting around financial priorities. Support will include a focus on engagement (managed) views of financials as well as understanding profitability drivers and trends.
This role is responsible for providing support to leadership to ensure strong understanding of business operations and performance – through an engagement (managed) lens. This role will interface with a variety of business leaders including VPs and Directors, Lead Finance Business Partners, Senior Finance Business Partner, Finance Shared Services, FP&A and Controller for global markets. You will work closely with the entire FBP finance team to share insights, recommendations, and reports to support decision making.
Additional focus is on supporting the businesses on executing their strategic operational objectives and undertaking ad hoc analyses and special projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Leadership Support
Serve as connection point between internal Business Operations leaders (VPs and Directors), leadership support teams in the following areas:
– Capital Delivery
– Services
– Investment
– Controllership (P2P Strategic Initiatives)
– Corporate FP&A
– IT Services
- Provide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, and recommendations on historic and the future financial performance to the Business’ leadership
- Support the business in protecting, growing and optimizing the assets of the Firm
- Support initiatives to help the business in achieving its strategic objectives
Monitoring of Period Performance and Execution of Financial/Ops Routines
Explain, present and analyze the financial performance of the business. With a primary focus on engagement (managed) views of financials and profitability drivers as well as understanding demand trends
- Focus on transforming information into insights and actionable decisions
- Support the management of financial risks and the implementation & maintenance of controls
- Collaborate with the Finance Lead, COO, and CoS to prepare analyses related to sales, pipeline, revenue, profitability, operational performance and other KPIs
- Understand firm systems and data to assess implications of operational changes on reporting
- Innovate next generation of leadership decision-making support tools and routines
- Support the delivery of the relevant business area’s financial response to price controls and maximize future allowances for ongoing investment in infrastructure and services
- Continuously improve Consulting Finance and BP&A’s organizational efficiency and effectiveness by leading internal change initiatives
Forecast, Planning, and Ad Hoc Support
- Support forecasting and planning processes as needed so that key inputs are considered
- Partner with peers within and across the other Offering Portfolios to share ideas and collaborate on ways to improve finance routines and processes
- Conduct other financial analysis and reporting as needed
- Present the monthly results in a style suitable for both a finance and non-finance audience, delivering insight and highlighting priority areas for focus, ensuring efficiencies are optimized for the longer term. Provide action plans to address issues and ensure corrective actions are delivered on a timely basis.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
Directly supporting VP / Director level Business stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related area
- CPA / MBA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or evidence of similar qualified experience preferred
Technology or Other Requirements
- Strong understanding of regulated business within a global firm
- Apptio Software and other financial applications desired
- Expert in Excel, advanced in PowerPoint and Word
- Understanding of Tableau capabilities for data visualization
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 4+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a professional services firm and/or with a focus on Financial Reporting & Analysis
