Devonshire Recruitment & Consulting Partners is actively seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (PHP/Laravel) to lead the software engineering lifecycle for a web app. This is a fully remote opportunity, aligned to U.S. time zones, for a fast-growing industry leader. As the central platform architect and lead engineer, you will be pivotal in driving technology strategy, implementing innovative solutions, and shaping the future direction of a robust web platform and mobile applications. This is a hands-on role with 2 dotted-line reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using PHP/Laravel and Vue.js.
• Collaborate with non-technical business leaders and the technical team to design, implement, and test features.
• Act as the lead on project design and execution, onboarding and managing contract developers as needed.
• Manage the technical team to ensure seamless design, development, and deployment of parallel projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while ensuring optimal system performance and scalability.
• Provide 24/7 emergency support for critical production issues as required.
• Design and optimize database schemas to support application needs and scalability.
• Stay updated with industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the platform.
• Lead the full development lifecycle from concept to delivery, including post-launch support.
• Foster an iterative, collaborative design process with team members, leaders, and customers.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Proficiency with PHP Laravel web framework and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC design patterns.
• Experience with MySQL or equivalent relational databases.
• Expertise in JavaScript (ES5/ES6), HTML5, CSS3, and Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Git and relevant build tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a collaborative, positive attitude.
• Experience directing external developers and managing concurrent projects.

Target Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Vue.js framework or equivalent front-end libraries.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, MongoDB (or NoSQL alternatives), and Redis.
• Project management and resource hiring/sourcing experience.
• Experience with Node.js/Express, Nginx, and web sockets is a plus.
