Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is actively seeking a skilled Vice President of Finance for a boutique investment management firm, specializing in convertible bonds, with over $2 billion in Assets Under Management and providing services through managed accounts, mutual funds, and a private hedge fund. The firm is based in Portsmouth, NH, and the ideal candidate must reside near Portsmouth, NH, or the North Shore of MA to be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed CPA required, with preference for those with Public Accounting experience (Big Four background is a plus).
• Must have 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, ideally within the investment management industry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, adhering to deadlines, while delivering outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment, while also independently prioritizing and executing key tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate execution of finance and accounting functions, adherence to deadlines, and effective cross-training within the finance team.
• Oversee quarterly financial statements preparation, regulatory filings, tax reporting, and analytical reports.
• Manage and analyze the general ledger through QuickBooks.
• Liaise with Big Four Audit and tax professionals to provide timely documentation.
• Conduct internal audits, including fee billing, collections, and accounts payable management.
• Perform reviews of Hedge Fund and Mutual Fund accounting and reporting at period-end.
• Lead expense analysis, and cost control, and execute special projects for senior leadership.
• Maintain policy and procedure documentation for all finance department activities.
