Job Overview
Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is actively seeking a D365 Functional Analyst to support our client’s Finance systems by designing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role will collaborate closely with internal Finance teams and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, build tailored solutions, and ensure efficient system performance through continual enhancement and support.
This is a hands-on functional role ideal for candidates with experience translating complex business needs into robust D365 configurations, supporting user adoption, and driving ongoing platform improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather functional requirements and document business processes.
- Analyze system gaps and recommend scalable solutions that align with Dynamics 365 functionality.
- Configure D365 modules, workflows, data structures, and business rules to meet user and business needs.
- Lead unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT); validate solution accuracy and system behavior.
- Deliver user training and develop documentation to promote effective system use.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for optimization, and propose process automation opportunities.
- Stay current on Microsoft D365 updates, patches, and emerging best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, project managers, and business users to support system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
- Contribute to change management by communicating key system changes and updates.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Support additional functional or technical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in a Functional Analyst role supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance modules).
- Familiarity with financial business processes; experience working directly with finance and accounting teams.
- Strong understanding of D365 system architecture, configuration tools, and workflow management.
- Microsoft D365 certifications preferred.
- Proficient in Agile project environments and requirement-gathering techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and structured thinking.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organized and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
