Helpdesk Technician

Job Description

The Company is seeking a PC Helpdesk Technician II, to be part of the team responsible for user support, problem resolution, monitoring and maintenance of desktops, A/V Equipment, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the initial point of contact for tech issues and perform troubleshooting tasks, problem detection, resolution, or escalation.
  • Solve internal user problems and ensure the correct operation of PCs.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and fix computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
  • Maintain parts inventory and log all service/repair activity.
  • Assist and independently deploy special projects and network implementations.
  • Responsible for providing tech support for resolution or de-escalation of desktop, network, server, software, and/or workgroup-related problems.
  • Accountable for assisting all users with queries about any of our supported software and systems to the best of their ability, being professional and courteous.
  • Implement end-user documentation consisting of configuration, support information, and useful software/hardware tips.
  • Developing workstation images
  • Patching windows workstations and servers via Kace.
  • Perform system setups for new hires.
  • Other duties needed.

Qualifications:

  • Customer support focus.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Able to interact with and assist a wide range of end users.
  • Ability to work well within a team and with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities and workloads.
  • Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and follow through.
  • Capable of thinking independently, learning new skills quickly, and adapting to rapidly changing environments.
  • 1 to 3 years of end-user support experience.
  • Proficient with Windows 10.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience creating workstation images.
  • Experience deploying Windows patches and security fixes.
  • An associate’s degree or its equivalent is required
