Job Overview:

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is actively seeking an experienced Network Administrator. The main responsibility is to set up, configure, safeguard, and maintain information technology infrastructure systems, including virtual and physical servers, firewalls, network switches, storage arrays, phone systems, cabling, and operating systems like Windows and Linux. Ensure that proper backup and disaster recovery systems and procedures are in place, and all systems adhere to support and security compliance standards.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and secure physical and virtual servers, network switches, firewalls, storage arrays, phone systems, cabling, UPS units, and Windows and Linux operating systems. Work with application development, customers, and management to ensure proper design and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the information security team to guarantee proper security compliance through firmware patching, configuration, and operating system patching.
  • Monitor network and systems performance, ensuring logging and alerting systems are functioning correctly, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Keep track of software license expiration and software/hardware end-of-life/support dates.
  • Document thoroughly technical systems and procedures regarding the network and server infrastructure.
  • Assist in creating, testing, and maintaining the department's disaster recovery plan.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours to ensure Data Center coverage including network, servers, remote access systems, and security.
  • Protect the confidentiality and privacy of subscriber information, adhering to corporate guidelines and relevant state and federal laws and regulations such as HIPAA.

  • Promote exceptional service to all customers and support the company’s commitment to GOSE by carrying out GOSE-related duties and activities and by supporting teammates.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending company-sponsored and external training and education programs and workshops and participating in relevant meetings and seminars.
  • Perform various tasks and related duties as needed to meet corporate, department, and individual goals and facilitate workflow across the organization.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or a combination of
    equivalent experience, training, and education, with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Certifications such as MSSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Server+, Linux+,
    Security+, ITIL, is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting a Microsoft Windows Active Directory
    Domain, a Microsoft Exchange 2013 or newer environment (preferably with DAG
    experience), and an enterprise data network (preferably with HP or Cisco equipment).
  • Thorough knowledge of data center and data storage technologies and systems backup
    and recovery products such as Veeam and/or SRM.
  • Strong knowledge of server, desktop, and virtualization platforms, local and wide
    area networking solutions including routers and firewalls (including SD-WAN
    configuration), and public/private cloud infrastructure.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • The job requires working in a regular office environment with frequent exposure to computer screens.
  • Work may be conducted in different corporate and field office locations, and may involve delivering and installing equipment.
  • Occasional travel may be required, and moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds) may be necessary.
