Job Description:

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is seeking a highly experienced senior-level Telecommunications Design Engineer to join the team in Los Angeles, CA. This position is a hybrid role that offers a flexible work schedule. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the Telecommunications field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design of large-scale data center telecommunication environments in compliance with company, client, and project design and drafting standards.
• Assist with a variety of assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques such as drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components and cables, and refining rough sketches.
• Collaborate with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects within scope. Perform project tasks and assignments within deadlines.
• Assist with initial rough designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and calculations to create and maintain a bill of materials.
• Incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
• Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the Telecommunications field, with most positions requiring 5-10 years of experience in the industry.
• Experience in writing proposals and assisting with group business development across different markets, including corporate/commercial, higher education, and healthcare.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, management, and co-workers.
• Ability to develop and design complex telecommunications systems, including integrated voice, data, video, and wireless networks.
• Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment, including PBX, VoIP, SIP, LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and unified communications.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as FCC rules, and ability to ensure compliance with these regulations.
• Experience with project-related client-facing responsibilities, including working with clients to develop the basis of design for telecommunications systems and participating in design team meetings.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
